Flexible SmFeN Magnet Overview
A flexible SmFeN magnet is a high-performance rubber magnet made with samarium-iron-nitrogen magnetic material. It is designed for applications that need more magnetic performance than a conventional ferrite rubber magnet while retaining the flexibility, corrosion resistance and processing advantages of a flexible magnet. Qingdao Magnet supplies Flexible SmFeN in sheets, strips, rolls and custom-cut parts for industrial applications.
Our Flexible SmFeN material is available in three grades: MGT-RS2, MGT-RS3 and MGT-RS4. Depending on grade, remanence (Br) ranges from 3000 ± 500 G to 4300 ± 500 G, and maximum energy product ranges from 2 ± 0.5 MGOe to 4 ± 0.5 MGOe. The current specification lists a maximum operating temperature of 80°C. Final magnetic performance also depends on material grade, product thickness, magnetizing pattern and the customer’s assembly design.

Sizes, Coatings and Processing
Flexible SmFeN can be supplied from thin sheets to thicker custom parts. The current product range covers thicknesses from 0.1 mm to 10 mm, lengths from small cut pieces to 1000 mm or roll form, and widths up to approximately 650 mm subject to the agreed specification. Available processing services include cutting, bending and moulding. UV, PVC and PET surface coatings are available for different handling, appearance and environmental requirements.

Typical Applications
This flexible magnetic material is used for outdoor advertising displays, medical equipment, household appliances, toys and other industrial products. It can also be considered for flexible magnetic strips, custom magnetic sheets, position-sensing components and assemblies where a rigid sintered magnet is not suitable.
